Betaine Introduction

- Jul 23, 2018 -

Betaine is a quaternary amine type water-soluble alkaloid (chemical name: trisodium ethoxide). It is named as betaine because it is extracted from sugar beet. The pure product is white flaky crystal. It has sweet taste, easy to absorb moisture, can be quickly dissolved in water, easy to be digested and absorbed by animals, safe to use, no toxic and side effects, suitable for ecological breeding. The price is reasonable, the use cost is low, and the effect is obvious, which is a relatively economical feed additive.

This product is used as an animal methyl donor to participate in metabolism. It has many functions such as promoting fat metabolism, relieving stress, increasing appetite, and improving meat quality. Especially, it has good growth promotion and strong attracting effect on fish. At the same time, betaine can also replace methionine and choline to promote growth, and it is a multifunctional feed additive.

Product specifications: This product is divided into three dosage forms, one is pure white crystal containing 98% betaine; one is adsorption white powder containing 65% betaine; one is adsorption white containing 35% betaine. powder. This product uses seaweed powder adsorption, because seaweed powder itself has a high nutritional content, which greatly enhances the multi-functional role of betaine. The amount of the adsorbed betaine should be converted into a pure product of 98%, that is, the amount of addition is divided by 0.35 and 0.70 respectively to obtain the actual amount.

Use methods and effect:

1. Chicken feed: The use of 98% pure betaine in broiler feed should be 0.5-0.7 kg/ton, which can increase the feed intake of chickens, increase the daily gain of chickens, improve feed utilization, and be effective. Improve meat quality and reduce fat content. The use of betaine in laying hens can also improve the laying performance of laying hens, increase the egg production rate, and enhance the anti-coccidial effect.

2. Pig feed: Adding 0.5-1 kg/ton of betaine to the feed of piglets can increase feed intake and prevent diarrhea; adding 0.3-0.6 kg/ton of betaine to the feed of growing pigs can increase the day. Weight gain and feed utilization, and improve the quality of the carcass. Many experiments reported that the use of betaine 1-1.4 kg / ton of feed in finishing pig feed, pigs' backfat thickness decreased by more than 14%, eye muscle area increased by 23%, lean meat rate increased by 4%, abdominal fat percentage decreased 1%, so it shows that betaine does improve the quality of pork.

3. Aquatic feed:Betaine is an ideal aquatic feed additive. Adding 1-1.5 kg/ton to aquatic feed, it can increase the survival rate of juvenile fish and shrimp, promote the growth of fish and shrimp, and stimulate the smell and taste of fish, improve the palatability of feed and reduce feed waste. Reduce the feed coefficient. Betaine can also improve the meat quality of fish and reduce the fat content of fish.

The amount of betaine used and the method of use should be tested in different livestock and poultry aquatic products to determine the optimum dosage. This product can also be mixed with other feed additives without adverse reactions.
